Do I need to maintain an under-sink RO filter more than a countertop filter?
Asked a year ago
I've been looking for a reverse osmosis filter For my kitchenette. My cousins suggested that I look into both under-sink and countertop systems. However, I prefer the hidden one because it is out of sight. I'm concerned that it's a complex system that will require more regular maintenance than a countertop system.

A reverse osmosis system in general does require periodic maintenance once it's been installed, whether it's under the sink or on top of the counter. Maintenance includes things like replacing the various filters and a yearly sanitization and system flush. However, a countertop system is slightly less effort to maintain.
