Does an under-sink RO water filter connect directly to my faucet?
Asked a year ago
I am doing some renovations to my studio apartment. My building is old, and the tap water smells funny and tastes terrible. I have been looking for better ways to filter my water, and I'm open to trying reverse osmosis filters. Can a filtration system under my sink connect to my faucet directly?

An under-sink RO filter typically connects straight to your faucet. Water is taken from the cold water connection under the sink and fed through the RO system. Once it's passed through the entire system, the pure water is sent to the holding tank. Once the tank is full, the system will stop producing more water. When you open your faucet, the water from the tank is what comes out.
