Is it possible to increase hydration by adding mineral drops to reverse osmosis water?

Asked a year ago

I recently purchased a reverse osmosis water filtration system. The water has been much softer, however, it has an odd taste and it doesn't do much in hydrating me. My friend suggested putting mineral drops in the water, but I'm not sure if that will make me feel more hydrated.

Yes, adding mineral drops to your water will result in more hydration. Reverse osmosis removes the minerals in water and drinking RO water for prolonged periods of leaches minerals from your body, causing dehydration and other health issues.
