Does magnetizing water remove contaminants and essential nutrients for kids?

So apparently, magnetizing water is better than tap water? How does this work? Are there any benefits to giving my young ones (6 and 4) magnetized water? They already drink a lot of tap water, although I don't really feel comfortable with it because of the chemicals they use to remove contaminants, and sometimes we still get warnings from the city council when the water isn't safe to drink.

There is some research on the effects of magnetized water removing contaminants; however, if you're worried about the tap water being unsafe, it is best to use a proper water filter. Water filters like carbon filters remove potentially harmful compounds and chemicals without removing the essential nutrients and minerals from the water.
