Will adding fluoride to desalinated drinking water prevent tooth decay?
Hi, I recently moved to New York and learned that the tap water here is desalinated. Which, if I understand correctly, means that any salt and minerals are removed from the water. I'm worried that the pH level of the water is lowered due to the desalination process, which could lead to our teeth corroding. So, what if I fill up a jar with water, add fluoride, and drink that instead? They use it in toothpaste. Surely it will help to protect my teeth?Asked 5 months ago

Does a sticky or dry mouth highlight that I need to drink more water?
I started working out as per my doctors suggestions, I found out last week that I am prediabetic. I decided that I am going to make a few lifestyle changes, be more active and be mindful of what I put in my body. I started jogging because it’s much cheaper than a gym membership and would also help with weight loss. I drink water, but during my runs my mouth sometimes gets sticky and dry, what does this mean?Asked 6 months ago

Is a rapid heartbeat and hyperventilation a sign of dehydration?
I live in a hot and humid environment, and I enjoy cycling as a hobby. I thought this would be the best way for me to keep active and fit, but I’m worried about heat-related problems. I’m looking for the best way to avoid heatstroke, dehydration, and other heat-related illnesses when I’m out riding. I noticed something from my last session. I was hyperventilating and my heart was beating faster than normal.Asked 6 months ago

Does dark colored urine indicate that I am extremely dehydrated?
I’m on the boys' wrestling team for my college, and I have been wrestling since high school. This is my first year of college, and things are a bit different here. Our coach suggested we decrease the amount of water we drink and make sure we sweat enough so we can make weight for the upcoming competition. I noticed that my urine has gotten a bit darker since I started limiting my water intake.Asked 5 months ago

Is increased irritability a sign of dehydration in athletes?
I had a hockey match last week, and I felt quite irritable. My coach thinks I was off my game for personal reasons. I remember that day was kinda hot and my performance was off that day. Is it possible that it might have been due to fluid loss during the game? I was sweating a lot too.Asked 6 months ago
