Should I add mineral drops to RO water to prevent mineral leaching?
My husband wants us to get a reverse osmosis filter for our new apartment. I've been researching the filtration system, which is exactly what we'll need since we'll be drawing water from our private reservoir. Will remineralizing RO water cause limescale to accumulate in kitchen appliances?
I live on a private reservation with my own well. For some reason, the groundwater was causing limescale buildup in my kitchen and bathroom faucets. I bought a reverse osmosis system and now have much cleaner, softer water. I'd like to replenish some lost minerals, but I'm concerned that doing so will resurface the limescale problem.Asked a month ago

Does adding minerals to RO water increase the alkalinity of water?
I recently picked up a reverse osmosis system and have been enjoying the pure water. My water has been leaning toward the acidic side for some reason, which I believe is the cause of the bland taste. I'm looking for a non-hazardous way to boost its alkalinity. I'd like to experiment with mineral drops, but I'm not sure if they're appropriate for me.Asked a month ago
