Is ultraviolet filtration effective in removing bacteria from water?
Asked 2 years ago
I want to choose a good water filtration system that can help remove contaminants, especially bacteria. I’m uncertain about which method would be the most effective in disinfecting my water of bacteria. Is ultraviolet filtration the right choice?

Yes, ultraviolet (UV) filtration is very effective at removing contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, cysts, and protozoans from water. Also, UV water filtration is safe as it does not use harmful chemicals or alter the composition of water. Be aware that a UV filter does not remove minerals or impurities, and it is ineffective in muddy water.
