Is it possible to remove unwanted chemicals by aerating brewing water in my Mayu swirl?
Asked 2 years ago
My friend recently introduced me to craft beer as a weekend hobby, and I've fallen in love with it. I live in the city, and my water quality could be better. I recently bought the Mayu water swirl to improve the quality of my tap water. Can I remove chemicals nasty for brewing if I aerate my tap water?

To remove unwanted chemicals from brewing water, first filter it using a charcoal filter, to get rid of most substances. Next, use the Mayu Swirl to remove CO2, H2S, iron, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, and volatile organic chemicals. Chlorine especially is slow to be eliminated by aeration, so may need more swirling.
