Can the pH of drinking water affect our hair?

Asked 2 years ago

I don't use sulfates, parabens or alcohol in my hair but I just drink normal tap water and bottled water on occasion. This made me wonder if the pH levels of the water we drink has any affect on our hair?

Yes, water pH can affect our hair. When the pH of the water is too high or too low, it can cause the hair cuticles to open or close, which affects the texture and appearance of the hair. Additionally, the pH level of the water can also affect the effectiveness of hair care products.
