Is water quality improved through water filtration?
Asked 2 years ago
My wife wants us to install a water filtration system in the house to improve the quality of water. I think the tap water is fine, but she says filtered water makes a difference health-wise. Does water get better when filtered?

Yes, water quality is improved through filtration. Water filters can remove sediment and pollutants, including chlorine, pesticides, lead, copper, and mercury, as well as organic compounds that can affect the smell and taste of tap water, without removing the healthy minerals. Although most water filters don't kill bacteria, they can remove them from your water.
