Does the pH of drinking water affect the taste?

Asked a year ago

I noticed that bottled water, tap water and structured water tastes different. Structured water almost tastes sweeter. Is this because of the pH levels? Does the pH of water effect the taste in that way?

Yes, the pH of drinking water can affect its taste. Water with a pH below 6.5 is considered acidic and can have a sour or metallic taste. Water with a higher pH (like structured water) has a sweeter, more pleasant taste.
