Does electrolyte-infused water help to reduce muscle soreness?
Asked 2 years ago
I recently started incorporating exercise into my daily routine. I’m trying to become healthier and fitter. Ever since I started, I have been struggling with muscle soreness and swelling after some workouts. Are electrolytes effective in decreasing the muscle soreness that I experience after my workouts?

Poor hydration can worsen delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMs) after exercise. A good electrolyte level supports fluid balance in the body. Electrolytes are essential to muscle and nerve functioning, as well as helping facilitate muscle repair, so drinking electrolyte-infused water should help relieve some of your muscle soreness after working out.
