Pure spring water is a popular form of bottled water and comes from groundwater, which is water that exists in underground aquifers that sit below the earth’s natural water table. As water flows naturally to the earth’s surface, it is collected at the opening of a spring.

This spring water is full of minerals and considered pre-purified because it has traveled through natural filters like clay, sandstone, and limestone. Natural spring water is regarded as one of the best water to drink because it provides lots of nutrients as it moves through the body. This is, of course, if it is bottled at the source of the spring and is proven to be actual living spring water. Thus, the minerals in tap wap water will be different.

Minerals Contained in Bottled Spring Water

Proper, high-quality spring water has one of the highest contents of essential minerals in water and is rich in:

  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium
  • Sodium
  • Iron
  • Other trace minerals

Beware of Marketing Scams

It must be mentioned that natural spring water should not be confused with other marketing gimmicks that are less regulated, like mountain water and glacier water. Along those same lines, be aware that a large percentage of bottled water is actually just tap water or filtered water that has been fiddled with. This is because the bottled water industry does not often disclose where they source their water or how it is treated.
