Can I turn my Mayu swirl into an emergency decanter?

I am hosting a birthday celebration for a friend. He is a wine sommelier, and I want to surprise him with aged wines from his favorite wine region. Unfortunately, I need a decent decanter to aerate the wine properly. Can I convert my mayu vortex pitcher into a makeshift wine aerator system in time for the party?

Do use your beautiful Mayu Swirl decanter for serving aged wine, but rather don't attempt any technical experiment with the swirl function. If your friend knows his wines, rather let him experiment with one he knows, to test the effect of the Swirl, and both of you enjoy the result.
