How can I remove the salty taste from soft water?
Asked 2 years ago
I got a water softener last week, and it changed the way that the water tastes. I have found that my soft water tastes ever so slightly salty, and I don’t like that. I am looking for ways to make the water less salty.

You can use reverse osmosis (RO) or distillation to remove the salty taste from your water. RO sends water through a membrane that removes all dissolved solids including the sodium that gives the water its salty taste. In distillation, evaporated water leaves salt and minerals in the boiling chamber while pure, condensed water is collected in another container.
