Should I remineralize my reverse osmosis water to avoid tooth decay?

Asked 2 years ago

I recently ordered a reverse osmosis filter for my home. I noticed on the system's package that it can remove fluoride in tap water. I'm concerned that this can affect my oral health in the long run. My cousin suggested getting mineral drops for my water to prevent teeth issues. Is this ideal for me?

Drinking and using reverse osmosis water to brush your teeth can result in more cavities and tooth decay due to the absence of fluoride. When using RO water, it is always suggested to remineralize the water with mineral drops to ensure you're getting the essential minerals you need.
