Is it overkill to get a whole-house RO system than an under-sink filter?
Asked 2 years ago
I just started renovating my home, and I've been considering adding a water filtration system. My husband wants us to get a reverse osmosis filter. I want a much more compact design for my kitchen. However, he wants a more extensive system for our whole house, but it's unnecessary.

Whether it's overkill or not depends entirely on your reason for wanting to filter your water. If it's simply for drinking and cooking, a more compact under-sink RO system will do the job. However, if you live in an area with contaminated or hard water, a whole-house RO system would be a better option.
