Structured water and reverse osmosis are two distinct concepts related to water treatment, and they have different purposes and effects on water quality.

What Is Structured Water?

Structured water refers to the concept that water molecules can form organized patterns or structures due to various influences, such as electromagnetic fields, mineral content, and energy. It has beneficial effects on the body and the environment. Structured water is considered one of the healthiest types of water, and it is considered similar to pure, untouched, and uncontaminated water found in glacier melts and natural springs.

How to Make Structured Water?

The easiest and most convenient way to ensure you’re drinking healthy, structured water is by using a water structuring device such as MAYU Swirl. Swirl your water for 7 minutes with the lid off to return its natural sweet, silky mouthfeel and healthy equilibrium.

What Is Reverse Osmosis (RO)?

Reverse osmosis is a water purification method used to remove a wide range of contaminants from water, including dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities. It is a physical process that forces water through a semi-permeable membrane, allowing water molecules to pass through while rejecting larger contaminants. The result is purified water that is free from many contaminants commonly found in tap water and other water sources.

An RO system removes 90–99% of common contaminants, resulting in clean and safe drinking water. However, due to its thoroughness, all essential minerals are also removed from the water, together with all contaminants. It is essential to add back the minerals to the reverse osmosis water before drinking it, and you can easily remineralize RO water with MAYU Essential Mineral drops.

Reverse osmosis is a very popular water filtration method, but it removes all beneficial minerals from the water, along with the contaminants and bacteria. Sometimes reverse osmosis or majorly filtered water is referred to as "dead water." Structured water removes unwanted sediment while leaving in the minerals and characteristics that are essential elements to water that is "alive."
