Can drinking water with a high pH level be harmful to health?

Asked a year ago

From what I remember we have to drink water between the pH ranges of 6.5 and 8.5 right? What happens if the pH is too high can this be harmful?

Drinking water with a slightly high pH level (around 8.5) is generally safe for consumption and may even have some health benefits. However, water with a pH that is too high could cause skin irritation, digestive issues, mineral imbalances, and tooth decay.
