What's the best way to check pH level of water in aquarium?
My dad bought me an aquarium for my birthday. He is aware of my interest in aquatic ecosystems and my desire for exotic fish. I live near the coast and just refilled it with what appears to be clean sea water. I recently noticed a strange color in the water and suspect that the pH levels are off. Is there any way I can confirm it?Asked 13 days ago

What causes pH levels to drop in an aquarium?
I just started an aquarium in my back garden to take my mind off a busy work schedule. I have a couple tadpoles and fish that are doing very well. I clean my aquarium from time to time while I feed the fish. I noticed algae build up and I'm not sure if this is a sign of low pH in my aquarium and what could be causing it.Asked 13 days ago

Is there a way to tell if pH balance is off in fish tank?
My son has a mini aquarium he keeps in his rooom with a few fish. He's been noticing some of the smaller fish are more irritable than usual and he thinks something might be wrong with them. In my experience, fish tend to like clean, balanced water and I'm wondering if there's a way to tell if the pH levels in the aquarium are wrong?Asked 13 days ago

How do I determine the ph of my water at home?
I recently moved here and I'm not totally sure about the water quality. I use a reverse osmosis filter for my apartment to keep my water safe. For my safety and health needs I'd like to be able to check my water pH too. I'm just not sure what could be the most efficient way to check my water pH.Asked 13 days ago

Are goldfish sensitive to water quality and pH?
My husband bought a reverse osmosis filter for our home to filter our well water. My son wants a pet fish, and I'm thinking about getting him a gold fish with a small tank to teach him about the fish. My kitchen has filtered water with a pH score of 7. I'm curious if this will have an effect on the gold fish?Asked 13 days ago

Does pH level affect water taste?
My sister recently had her tap water tested because it had a really unusual taste. Test results found that it didn't contain any harmful trace elements. She's now suggesting we do a pH test. I'm not sure how pH levels work and if this could be affecting the taste of the water.Asked 13 days ago

Will aerating the water in my aquarium raise pH?
I have a water swirl that I use to aerate my drinking water which produces great-tasting water. I maintain a small aquarium at home and I usually use tap water for it. I recently took an interest in providing my fish with optimum pH water although I'm not sure if using aerated water for the aquarium will not make it too alkaline.Asked 13 days ago

Can you take electrolytes on an empty stomach?
My daughter is a sprint runner and she participates in her races with little to no food in the lead up to her event. She says food before her run makes her feel heavy and bloated. The only thing she manages to take are her mineral electrolytes but I'm concerned whether there are any adverse effects when taking electrolytes on an empty stomach.Asked 13 days ago
