How long to take postnatal vitamins?
Asked 13 days ago
I'm about 6 weeks postpartum and have been taking postnatal vitamins since I had my baby. I'm feeling much better now, and I'm wondering if I need to keep taking them, or if I can switch back to my regular multivitamins?

Hey mama, congrats on the new little one! 🎉👶
I totally get where you're coming from—I was itching to get back to "normal" after having my kiddo too. But from my experience (and what my OB drilled into my head), it's best to stick with those postnatal vitamins for a bit longer.
I kept taking mine for about 6 months postpartum. My doc said it helps replenish all the nutrients your body used up during pregnancy and delivery. Plus, if you're breastfeeding, your body's still doing a lot of work!
That said, every mom is different. Maybe chat with your doctor at your next checkup? They might give you the green light to switch back to your regular vitamins sooner, especially if you're not breastfeeding.
