Can I enhance the flavor of my reverse osmosis water with a carbon filter?
Asked 2 years ago
I recently purchased a reverse osmosis filter for my apartment. I appreciate how the system purifies my water and removes all harmful contaminants. On the other hand, my filtered water tastes awful, and I don't want to drink it. Should I add a carbon filter to my system if I'm looking for a way to elevate my water?

Carbon filters are great at removing odors and tastes like chlorine but will not necessarily make your RO water taste better. One of the reasons for RO water tasting bad is that this filtration system removes all of the essential minerals from the water. A good option to improve the taste would be to use mineral drops.
