Does reverse osmosis get rid of bacteria in water?

Hi there. I always thought reverse osmosis only got rid of toxins, but apparently not. Can reverse osmosis also remove bacteria from water? I've read that you should use reverse osmosis to purify structured water to get rid of any toxicity and stuff you don't want to put in your body, so it's definitely something I'd want to look into using.

Reverse osmosis units are effective at removing most forms of bacteria. Reverse osmosis works on a molecular level, which means only water molecules fit through the tiny membrane. However, some contaminants and bacteria are molecularly smaller than water and slip through, including pesticides, herbicides, dissolved gases, small traces of chlorine, and certain organic compounds.
