Why does reverse osmosis water make me feel dehydrated?
Asked 2 years ago
I had a reverse osmosis home system installed 3 weeks ago as a means to make sure I’m getting clean water. I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever I drink the water from the system, it feels like I haven’t been drinking water. Sometimes I feel a bit dehydrated.

Reverse osmosis water has been known to be less hydrating than other water. This is because reverse osmosis water has no electrolytes and essential minerals (they are all removed during the filtration process). Improper hydration can result in progressive dehydration which could impact your health long term.
