What are doshas in ayuverdic medicine?

I’ve been diving into Ayurvedic medicine and keep hearing about "doshas." I get that they’re important for understanding health in Ayurveda, but what exactly are they? How do they affect your overall well-being according to Ayurvedic principles?

So, doshas are like these three energy types that Ayurveda says make up who you are. Think of them as your body's personal DJs, each playing their own tune:
- Vata: The airy, spacey one. Always on the move, kinda like that friend who can't sit still.
- Pitta: The fiery one. Basically your body's version of Gordon Ramsay - all about that transformation and heat.
- Kapha: The earthy, watery one. Slow and steady, like that friend who's always chill no matter what.
Everyone's got a mix of these, but usually one or two are stronger. It's like your body's personality type, affecting everything from how you digest food to how you handle stress.
