Should I be concerned if reverse osmosis water tastes sweet?

Asked 2 years ago

I recently picked up a reverse osmosis filtration system and my water quality has drastically improved. However lately my water has been tasting oddly sweet which has been a surprise. I'm concerned because I haven't used any mineral drops to improve the flavor. Should I be concerned?

If your reverse osmosis system has a built-in remineralization filter, this could be the cause of the sweeter-tasting water. Calcium and magnesium usually cause sweeter water. So, if this is the case, there is no need to worry.
