Can I improve the aroma quality of my craft beer by using aerated filtered water?

Asked a year ago

I've been brewing craft beer for several years and enjoy experimenting with different ingredients and flavors. I switched to groundwater from a nearby spring, but my batches have recently smelled funny, like metal. My water has altered the aroma profile. I purchased a Mayu swirl to enhance the freshness of my spring water. Could it also improve the aroma of my beer?

Water from a spring may contain a particular trace element like iron or potassium, from the rocks at the source. This can't be removed easily. Rather use filtered tap water or a better quality spring water in your Mayu Swirl. This will have some essential minerals, but none overwhelming the taste.
