Should I drink more water if my body weight is lower than yesterday's?

Asked 2 years ago

I’m new to this workout thing and I have made quite habit out of it. Working out really helps with my anxiety. That’s why I started. Yesterday's session was really good. I went out for a jog, but it was quite hot, and when I checked my body weight today it was a bit lower than when I left for my run. Does this mean I lost a lot of water and should I be drinking more?

You should always strive to drink the recommended amount of water a day, and even more when it's hot. Drinking water and sweating cause body weight to fluctuate; however, lower body weight doesn't mean you're dehydrated if there are no other symptoms of dehydration, like feeling thirsty, dark urine, dizziness, and fatigue. Always listen to your body.
